I’m just back from the EURIB hosted this year at the Design Council.

I jumped between projects of ours since Snook began (and before) to highlight open and co-productive practice that I believe is needed in the 21st century.

The presentation focused on largely on public services and government and whilst acknowledging many forward thinking areas, particularly within the UK, highlighted that we still got a lot of work to do, as Pia Manchini says, to provide platforms for 21st century citizens to flourish with our institutions and in society.

I also provided a host of links which are attached here for background reading and examples of other practice out there that is listed also below.

Thanks to Mike Press for inviting me, who also gave a whirlwind lecture on British Design from Wedgewood to Bowie and back to Underworld in the last year.

And to memory of Rodney Fitch, a founder of retail design who sadly passed away recently and provided me the opportunity to stand in for.  You can read more about his retail work and how he was a leader in this sector here.
