In collaboration with Sustrans, we’re hosting Walk Hack – a two day event identifying innovative ways to get more people walking in and through Edinburgh city centre.

The Hack

The event will provide a platform for citizens to collaborate with the City of Edinburgh Council and with each other to develop innovative ways to excite, enthuse and re-design walking routes and their surrounding environment.

It’ll bring individuals from multiple disciplines and with a variety of perspectives together. Collaboratively, we’ll explore the barriers to walking in Edinburgh and generate, develop and prototype solutions to these from a range of proposed challenges.

Generated ideas throughout the event could result in physical products, digital apps, campaigns or introduce new policies to consider local infrastructure.

The more the merrier

You’re not an expert in urban planning? Not to worry – the event is open to everyone. All citizens are welcome to get involved in this initiative.

WHEN: Friday, 30th October – Saturday, 31st October

WHERE: Gayfield Creative Spaces, Edinburgh
