Maya
Service Designer

Coming to service design from a product design background, Maya’s applying a hands-on approach to research and prototyping. She’s currently working on a project with Thames Valley Housing Association - a qualitative and design-led approach to understanding existing and future customer needs.

Whilst studying at Kingston University, she became involved with Fixperts in a facilitation role with a wide range of participants: from students within an education context to clients from the Two Saints homeless charity. Being passionate about women’s rights and equality in the workplace, Maya runs Power Project, a programme of free workshops for women in DIY and making which strives to reach a 50:50 gender balance in manufacturing industries.

Though Maya claims she loves research and service design, we heard her real life goal is to build an empañada cart and wheel it around festivals...
