Cameron’s passion for human-centred design began when working in prisons with InHouse Records, an award-winning initiative that aims to reduce reoffending and violence in prisons through person-centred support for participants. Cameron delivered a program that offered a creative, collaborative and user-led approach, nurturing participant’s leadership skills and supporting them in navigating the complexities of life in and out of custody.

This brought Cameron to the 2021/22 Year Here Social Innovation Fellowship where he led a user-research project for the NHS which aimed to improve healthcare outcomes for ex-armed forces in London. Whilst supporting the running of a homeless shelter during a 5 month placement, Cameron also explored ethnographic and participatory approaches to understanding and refining service improvements.
