Kirstie strongly believes that people and communities should be able to influence and shape the services that affect their lives and is interested in how processes can be put in place to ensure this happens in practice, underpinned by inclusive and ethical research.

Kirstie came to Snook from the social housing sector where she was most recently a customer engagement officer for a large community-based housing association in Glasgow but has experience working in many different roles including housing management and maintenance. She has an MSc in Housing Studies from the University of Glasgow, where she explored how becoming an energy provider affected the culture of the social housing co-operative she worked for, sparking an interested in research and how it can be used to improve services.
Outside of work, Kirstie is part of a quiz team who have managed to win a few local quizzes but don’t like coming 3rd. She also likes volunteering, spending time outdoors, reading, travel and hanging out with her cat.
